radio charts bar graph
Today we'll create a spreadsheet, then turn it into a graph.
1. Open up a spreadsheet in Excel.
2. Go to this site (open in a new window or tab--right click the link & choose open in new window or new tab): RIGHT CLICK HERE
3. Make two columns in your spreadsheet: one for "Song Title" (column A), one for "Radio Spins" (column B).
4. Pick whichever type of music you like best. Click on that chart. Then take any 10 songs out of the list, and type their information into your spreadsheet. Put the song title in Column A and the number of Radio Spins in Column B. Make sure your numbers are accurate!
5. After it's all typed, highlight all of your typed information.
6. At the INSERT tab (at the top), choose CHART. You'll be given a bunch of options for creating graphs. We want a BAR GRAPH or COLUMN GRAPH.
7. You'll be given some options where you can label the y-axis (Radio Spins) and x-axis (Song Title) & give the graph a title.
8. Once you get finished, it'll make the chart for you---now you should spice it up. Insert pictures for each individual bar just like we did when we inserted pictures into our USA map. You'll have to save the pictures into the thaw space before you can insert them into your graph, however.
9. When you've got the pictures inserted (stack the pictures so they don't get stretched and distorted) and the rest of the graph looking good, PRINT PREVIEW and let me know if there are any problems!
