NFL Passing yards bar graph
Today we'll start using Excel, which is a spreadsheet program. You can do lots of things with numbers in it.
First, open up a blank spreadsheet in Excel.
We're going to look at some of the stats from yesterday's NFL games.
CLICK HERE to see yesterday's best players.
In your spreadsheet, we'll use Column A & B. You'll probably have to adjust the width of the columns. Type "Quarterback Name" in A1 and "Passing Yards" in B1.
Underneath A1, type the names of the top 10 QBs in passing yards. This should fit in A2 to A11.
Underneath B1, type the yardage of each QB. Put one number in each spot from B2 to B11.
When you're done, choose "insert," then "chart" from the top of the page. We want a bar graph (or column graph). This should make a nice graph of your data.
Now we're going to make it look even better by inserting pictures (just like we did with the USA map). Search for the QB's names on the Internet. Find a picture of each QB and save it in your thaw space. Insert it into your graph.
Once you have all 10 pictures inserted, check and make sure your title is there and your name is on it. Then you can print.
